How Martin College helped me get a real job

Recently, I was struggling to find a new job. However, after trying almost three months, and going to several interviews, there was still no luck. I contacted my previous graphic design teacher at Martin College, Tori Triffitt, to ask for her help. In my email, I explained my current situation and asked if she could give me some hints to improve my chances of finding a job. At the same time, I was not sure she would reply to me, because I had graduated from Martin College two years ago. However, she replied to me immediately, and offered to check my resume and even asked me to visit the campus and meet with her. I know she has a very busy schedule, and seeing that I’m not a student of the college anymore, I was really moved by her email when she offered to help.  (more…)
